Corton Grand Cru
"Corton Mountain produces two of Côte de Beaune Grands Crus: CORTON-CHARLEMAGNE and CORTON (the only red Côte de Beaune Grand Cru). This is because here the vines are in a south-east/south-west circular arc, very unusual in our region. The Pinot Noir for the red CORTON wines flourishes on the mid-slopes, while the Chardonnay for the white Corton-Charlemagne occupies the higher, steeper slopes."
Commentaries by our oenologist
A rich wine, with an attractive colour, concentrated on aromas of black fruits (blackcurrants, blackberries), with spicy, peppery notes. Nice tannins.
Tasty meat with a flavourful sauce.
